Signing Up & Logging In
How to Sign Up for BookStack
BookStack is where DTC keeps internal knowledge — SOPs, guides, policies, and technical documentation. Signing in with your DTC Microsoft account gives you access to private content that isn't visible to the public.
What You'll Need
- Your DTC Microsoft email and password (the same one you use for Outlook, Teams, etc.)
- A web browser
First Time? Sign Up
If you've never used DTC's BookStack before, you'll need to create an account first.
1. Go to BookStack
Open your web browser and navigate to https://kb.dtctoday.com.
2. Click "Sign Up"
In the top right corner of the page, click Sign Up.
3. Click "Sign Up with Microsoft Azure"
On the sign-up page, click the Sign Up with Microsoft Azure button.
Note: Do not fill in the regular form fields. Always use the Sign Up with Microsoft Azure button.
4. Sign in with Your Microsoft Account
You'll be redirected to a Microsoft sign-in page. Enter your DTC email address (e.g., firstname.lastname@dtctoday.com) and click Next. Then enter your password and click Sign in.
If prompted for multi-factor authentication (MFA), complete it as you normally would.
5. Accept Permissions
Microsoft may ask you to approve permissions for BookStack to access your account info. Click Accept to continue. This is a standard step and only happens once.
Your account is now created. You can proceed to log in.
Logging In
Once you have an account (either you just signed up or you've used BookStack before), follow these steps to log in.
1. Go to BookStack
Open your web browser and navigate to https://kb.dtctoday.com.
2. Click "Login"
In the top right corner of the page, click Login.
3. Click "Login with Microsoft Azure"
On the login page, click the Login with Microsoft Azure button.
Note: Do not fill in the username/password fields. Always use the Login with Microsoft Azure button.
4. You're In
That's it. If you're already signed into Microsoft in your browser, it may log you in automatically. Otherwise, enter your DTC email and password when prompted.
Troubleshooting
| Problem | Solution |
|---|---|
| "Login with Microsoft Azure" button doesn't appear | Make sure you're at the correct URL: https://kb.dtctoday.com |
| Microsoft says your account doesn't have access | Contact your manager or the DTC helpdesk — your account may need to be added |
| You get stuck in a login loop | Clear your browser cookies for kb.dtctoday.com and try again |
| MFA isn't working | Make sure your Authenticator app is up to date, or try the SMS option |
