DTC Client Portal Testing Scenarios


Hi Beta Tester! Thank you again. Here are a few scenarios we'd like to encourage you to explore during the Beta Test phase. The goal here is to:

  • Validate usability
  • Performance, and
  • Functionality

 1. First-Time Client Login 

  • Receive welcome email → Set password Needs Review 
  • Log in → Browse dashboard 
  • Set up 2FA Needs Review 

 2. Submit and Track a Support Ticket 

  • Submit a new support ticket with a file attached 
  • Receive confirmation and email update 
  • Add a comment and change ticket priority 
  • Admin responds → Status changes → User closes ticket 

3. Permission Escalation and Data Privacy 

  • Try accessing another client’s data (should be blocked) 
  • Request additional access → Admin grants → Refresh privileges 

4. Use on Different Devices 

  • Log in on mobile, tablet, and desktop 
  • Check for responsive layout 
  • Attempt to access features from mobile (file upload, etc.) 

5. Error Handling and Validation 

  • Submit a blank form → Validate field-level errors 
  • Upload unsupported file type 
  • Navigate to a broken or removed link 

6. Password & Account Management 

  • Change password → Re-login 
  • Lock account after multiple failed attempts
